Who is responsible for your data?

Bridgyz is an independent business operated by Christian Roghi. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Christian Roghi, operating Bridgyz, is the data controller.

Questions about privacy or requests relating to your personal information can be sent to privacy@bridgyz.com.

What information is collected?

When you ask to receive occasional emails from Bridgyz, Bridgyz collects your email address and records associated with your signup, such as the date of signup, your consent and whether you confirmed your email address.

If you contact Bridgyz through the contact form or directly, Bridgyz receives the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organisation and the content of your message, voice note, video or uploaded material.

When you choose to book a conversation through Cal.com, information associated with the booking may include your name, email address, timezone, selected appointment time and anything else you choose to provide in the booking form.

The website, forms and security services may also process limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser or device information and submission timestamps, where needed to deliver the service and help prevent spam or abuse.

Why is it used?

Your email address is used to send occasional emails from Bridgyz, including Perspectives, Executive Briefings and other things worth sharing. The lawful basis for this use is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by emailing Bridgyz.

Information provided when you contact Bridgyz is used to respond to you and manage the resulting professional relationship. Information provided when you book a conversation is used to schedule and manage that conversation. Depending on the context, this processing is based on Bridgyz's legitimate interests in operating the business or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Technical information may be processed where necessary to keep the website, forms and booking process secure and reliable.

Who processes the information?

Bridgyz uses a small number of service providers to operate the website, contact form, email notifications and appointment booking:

• AidaForm provides the Bridgyz contact form and processes and stores responses submitted through it on Bridgyz's behalf. AidaForm privacy information.
• Google reCAPTCHA is used within the contact form to help protect it from spam and abuse and may process technical information needed for that security check. Google privacy information.
• Brevo manages the signup form, double opt-in process, subscriber list and email delivery. Brevo states that the servers used to process and store its databases are located within the European Union. Brevo privacy information.
• Cal.com provides the booking page used when you choose to schedule a conversation with Bridgyz and processes the information you submit for that booking. Cal.com privacy information.
• Netlify hosts the Bridgyz website and may process standard technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser information and request data. Netlify privacy information.

These providers are used only where needed to provide, secure or administer the relevant service. Bridgyz does not sell personal information to third parties.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Brevo states that its database hosting is within the European Union. AidaForm, Cal.com and Netlify may process information in other countries depending on their service and data-storage arrangements. How long is information kept?

Subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, Bridgyz stops using your email address for content notifications. A limited suppression record may be retained where necessary to make sure your unsubscribe request continues to be respected and to maintain appropriate records of consent and withdrawal.

Direct correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the enquiry or professional relationship. Records connected with an engagement, accounting or legal obligations may need to be kept for longer.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access your personal information, correct it, ask for it to be erased, restrict its use, object to certain processing and receive information you provided in a portable format.

Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

Automated decisions

Bridgyz does not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Form security and anti-spam services may use automated checks only to help identify spam or automated submissions.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated if the way Bridgyz collects or uses personal information changes. The latest version will be published on this page.
